New blog engine at AsFusion
19 comments Posted by: NahuelIt seems that everybody has his/her own blog engine these days, so we are also building our own. We've been using blogCFC for a long time (thank you so much Ray), but the time to move on has come. We already migrated all the posts, and everything besides some of the examples is working fine. Hopefully the urls will stay the same, but we are in the process of updating posts that pointed to old urls. If you find something wrong please let us know.
We are also planning to change the design tomorrow night, so there might be some down time due to the migration.
Regarding the blog engine, it will be open source. We are working on the website and the many bugs that still has (hey, it's alpha!). Stay tuned for the updates and if anyone wants to participate as beta tester (knowing that things are not yet finalized), let us know too.

Write yoursnot that I dont like the current desing, but is good to see the things moving.
Hope u sort out everything soon so u can have a well deserved rest (at least tomorrow, being 1st of may...)
salut!
On your blog it seems that the screen size messes up when you have a smaller resolution. For example...
I am using 1280x768 XP machine and when I access your home page the text and header graphic appears half way down the page not at the top.
Other than that, Great Improvements! I will add that this site is one of my most used sites for Flash form and Action script development. You guys seem to touch on the areas that we all have problems with. A great big thanks to your efforts and know that I sincerely appreciate your assistance!

When i click onto the following link i get a session scope error:
http://www.asfusion.com/blog/examples/cfforms/addGridColumn.cfm
BTW Nice fresh looking site layout.
the previous and next pages links on the bottom of the archvies don't do anything. I was looking for some of your archived CF stuff and could only view the first page of articles.

John
Thanks for the comments
Steven: When I made the re-design I used some techniques from Mark Boulton http://www.markboulton.co.uk/journal/simple_steps_to_designing_grids/ and also applied some tips for the comments from http://www.smileycat.com/miaow/archives/000212.html
Ed: The problem on IE is fixed now thanks for pointing that out
Gary: I know, I need some time to finish the archives, I apologize for that. But you can find all the posts if you choose a category and click on 'previous page'
Thank you!!!
We believe the same about aesthetics and that was one of the reasons why we are building Mango.
Mango is still in development so some of the things we want, mostly for the administration and the default skin, will probably not completely make it to the alpha release. But we really hope we can meet your expectations :)
